You can setup a password or login to control access to your assets when they are shared with visitors, guests or external partners.

There are two ways that this can be achieved.

Portals let you create a permanent, public and searchable view of selected folders from your Dash account.

Once you create a Portal, you can protect it with a passcode (must be at least 5 characters). Anyone accessing the assets must first enter that passcode.

ℹ️ Note: Users cannot upload assets to a Portal. If you wanted a guest/visitor to both download and upload assets, they must be added as an internal user with a login (and Contributor rights) - see the next section on how to do this.

You can invite people to join your Dash account as users, with their own login. They can then login with their username (email) and password, or alternatively use SSO (via Google/Microsoft).

By adding new users, you then have the ability to see which assets a user has downloaded and also control their permissions (including what folders they have access to and if they can upload assets).
