How to allow Dash through your firewall
How to allow Dash through your firewall

Learn what domains to whitelist on your network to allow Dash to function correctly

Updated over a month ago

If you are experiencing problems with uploading or downloading, your networking might be blocking some of the Dash services. This typically can happen in corporate networks and company-provided VPNs where access to websites is restricted and managed by a central IT team.

For example, sometimes firewalls may be configured to block less common top-level domains such as ".app" that Dash uses.

Symptoms of firewall connectivity issues

If your network is blocking access to Dash, you may see any of the following errors:

"Your connection isn't private"

"There was a problem with your last upload"

How to resolve firewall connectivity issues

If you are experiencing these sorts of problems, please ask your IT team to "whitelist" the following domains:

  • *.dash.app

  • *.assetplatform.io

They will also need to make sure that the firewall is not blocking WebSockets (wss://) for the above domains.

Emails

Please ensure emails from the following domains are whitelisted to avoid them being marked as spam:

  • @dash.app

  • @chargebee.com

If you still have problems after doing this, please get in touch and we will be happy to help you resolve this.
