What is happening?
The Dash Canva integration is being replaced by a new version.
When will this happen?
The current/legacy version of the Canva integration will stop working at some point in the next few months. In the meantime, the older version will now be labelled as "Dash (Legacy)" in the Canva app.
Why is this happening?
Canva changed the way 3rd party apps need to be written. This required us to rebuild the Canva integration and submit as a new version to the Canva app store.
What are the benefits of using the new version?
You'll get to keep adding your Dash assets to Canva!
You'll be able to insert videos into your Canva projects
What do I need to do to use the new version?
To start using the new version of our Canva integration, simply visit this link on the Canva app store and add the plugin, as per the usual installation instructions.
How do I know what version I have?
Both apps will be available for a short period of time. To be sure you are using the right version:
"Dash" is the latest and correct version to use
"Dash (legacy)" is the previous version that will soon stop working
Do I need to uninstall the old version?
If you've installed the new version, the old version will still technically work until it's removed by Canva, but you are welcome to uninstall it if you wish (especially as the new version allows you to insert videos from Dash, thus providing more functionality).
When Canva removes the app, the old version will automatically be removed from your account.
