With Dash, you can easily upload your assets straight into your organisation's Dash, without having to send the files manually via email, WeTransfer etc.
What you can do
Upload assets straight into Dash from your desktop, phone, Google Drive or Dropbox.
Choose what folder to put the assets in.
Add extra information ("fields") such as photographer, location, product, or any other fields your organisation has created.
Either submit the assets for approval, or straight into the Dash, depending on the company settings.
How to upload
Once you've logged in to your Dash, upload new files by:
Clicking the "Add files" button on the top-right
orDragging any asset from your desktop onto Dash in your browser
You'll then see the assets being uploaded in the upload screen.
Once you're happy with the assets (see "Updating fields" below), you can click "Done" or "Submit for approval" (depending on your type of user account).
Updating fields
In the upload screen, you can select single, multiple or all assets and edit their information in the sidebar on the right-hand side.
This is a great time to put the assets into folders, or fill in other fields that exist in your Dash.
Viewing comments and submitting new versions
Depending on how your user account has been set up, your uploads may need to be approved by an admin. If an admin adds comments to an asset you've submitted for approval, you'll be notified by email. You can also view all submitted assets from the Home screen.
Review the admin's comments and take the appropriate action. You may want to resubmit a new version, in which case click the "Upload new version" button, to replace the existing asset with a new one. Approvers will then be notified. Feel free to leave a comment as well.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit on the file size I can upload?
No, you can upload any file of any size into Dash.
How many assets can I upload in one go?
You can upload as many assets as you like in one go. However, browsers are susceptible to internet connectivity issues and so we recommend uploading in batches at first to be sure that your assets upload successfully.
