With our LinkrUI integration, you can access your Dash assets from within Figma. You can browse, download or upload a new version of an asset and export new designs from Figma directly to Dash - all without leaving Figma.
What you'll need:
LinkrUI plugin installed in Figma (Install LinkrUI).
A Dash account with access to upload assets.
Here are the ways you can use Figma with Dash assets:
🔍 Search and browse assets
You can locate an asset in various ways:
Simply browse the folder structure until you see the asset you need.
Use the search box to enter any search term. This will search the same asset metadata that the usual Dash search does, excluding AI-enhanced search.
⬇️ Download an asset
Once you've found the asset you'd like to add to your canvas, simply drag it to the canvas area to place it. Alternatively, click the three dots to the right of the asset filename and choose "Place".
⬆️ Upload a new design from Figma to Dash
Once your Figma design is ready to be sent to Dash, follow the steps below:
1. Open the LinkrUI popup in Figma
In your Figma file, locate and open the LinkrUI plugin panel.
2. Click the "Export" icon
At the bottom of the LinkrUI popup, click the "Export" icon.
3. Configure your export settings
In the export window:
Export to: Choose your preferred format from the dropdown (PNG, JPG, SVG, etc.)
Title: Add a title for your design
Filename: Enter the filename you want
Folder: Select which Dash folder you want the asset saved to
4. Click "Export"
Click the "Export" button to upload your design to Dash.
5. View your design in Dash
Head over to your Dash account and navigate to the folder you selected. Your design will be there!
✅ Done! Your Figma design is now in Dash.
🔃 Update an edited design as a new version in Dash
If you've edited a design that's already in Dash, you can upload it as a new version rather than creating a duplicate or manually uploading it to Dash.
1. Find your design in Dash and edit with Figma
In the LinkrUI pop-up, locate the design/image from Dash you want to edit. You can drag and drop the asset to Figma.
2. Update a new version
Once your edited design/image is ready, hover over the current version of your design/image in the LinkrUI pop-up. Click the 3 dots icon that appears.
3. From the dropdown menu, select "New version". Confirm that you want to update this design.
4. Click "Export"
Click "Export" to upload the new version.
✅ Done! Your design is updated in Dash with the new version. Previous versions are still accessible in the version history.
