Learn how to access and add your assets with Microsoft Office applications

What can you do with LinkrUI?

With our LinkrUI integration, you can access your Dash assets from within Microsoft Office applications and download assets straight into your documents. With LinkrUI, you can:

  • Search and browse your Dash assets from within support Microsoft applications (see below for the full list).

  • Download Dash assets directly into your documents.

  • Upload modified assets back to Dash as a new version of an existing asset.

What applications are supported?

LinkrUI supports the following Office applications:

  • Word

  • PowerPoint

  • Excel

What operating systems are supported?

LinkrUI supports both Windows and MacOS.

How much does LinkrUI cost?

Here are the prices for LinkrUI for Microsoft Office applications. All fees are annual and renew automatically until cancelled:

LinkrUI is charged annually as a separate subscription to your Dash subscription.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, all new LinkrUI activations come with a two week free trial. Once the trial period expires, your LinkrUI plugin will expire unless you request to sign up (so there will be no automatic invoices if you forget you had a trial!).

Setting up the integration

1. Download the plugin

  1. As an admin, navigate to Admin > Integrations.

  2. Locate the "Microsoft Office" section.

  3. Click the "Start free trial" button.

  4. Press enter in the chat that pops up to send us a message that you'd like to start a LinkrUI trial.

  5. Follow the prompts to accept the LinkrUI Terms and Conditions.

  6. Once accepted, you will be provided with the installation link.

2. Install the plugin

  1. The web link will take you to the plugin page in the Microsoft app store.

  2. From here, click "Get it now" and fill in some basic details to begin the download.

  3. Choose the initial application you'd like to open the plugin in.

  4. Once your application opens, you'll see a "New Office Add-in" side panel:

  5. Click "Allow and Continue".

  6. You may have to accept some additional permissions.

💡 Repeat steps 1 to 6 for each Office application you want to use the plugin with.

3. Activate the plugin

Now you have the plugin installed, you will need to sign in with an activation code.

If you already have an activation code, just enter it here.

If you don't have an activation code

If you don't have an activation code, please get in touch with us via the in-app chat. You can continue to sign up for LinkrUI within the panel, but that will cost you the list prices on the LinkrUI website, whereas if you register via us it is cheaper 🙂.
