Background
Since its inception, Dash has been a small team working within the larger business Bright Interactive, based in Brighton in the UK, which also builds and sells other software products.
Dash has grown a lot since then, to a team of 21+ people and with almost 700 customers! It became time for us to stretch our wings and become an independent company of our own π.
What exactly is happening?
The Dash team and product will become a new, separate company called Dash for Brands Ltd, trading as Dash.
When will this happen?
The new company will begin trading on 1st February 2026.
How will this affect me (as a customer)?
Very little will change. The details are:
From early January 2026, when admin users log into your Dash account they will be shown a popup asking them to accept the new terms and conditions. (For a summary of the changes, see below).
If you pay via invoice, you'll need to pay into a new bank account. A separate email will be sent just to those affected with all the new details you need. If you pay via card, you will not be affected and your card will be charged as usual.
There will be a 2 month period from 1st February where we will no longer be officially ISO certified. Rest assured nothing operationally will have changed - we will still be following all the same operational and security procedures as before, and our auditor is ready to certify us at the 2 month point.
The Dash team will still be working from the same office in Brighton, with the same culture that has led us to where we are today. We'll continue working to build an amazing product that you love, and will continue to listen in all the usual ways, such as via our feature request board, beta programmes and best-in-class support π€©.
What differences will there be in the Ts&Cs?
The new Ts & Cs document will differ as follows:
The agreement will be between your organisation and Dash for Brands Ltd (rather than Bright Interactive Ltd).
It states that Dash is aligned to ISO27001 rather than certified. (We will be certified two months later and will update the terms again once done).
It contains details of our compliance with the EU Data Act.
